Christopher D. Scott
Christopher has significant experience within the small business arena including auditing small business development programs, counseling entrepreneurs, investing in startup ventures, authoring a startup venture book, and serving as Director for a Community Development Financial Institution. Additionally, Mr. Scott co-facilitated a small business startup course for Columbia University's Information and Knowledge Management program.
Christopher also specializes in developing technology platforms and processes that push critical knowledge and information to entrepreneurs, investors, or managers so that they can make rapid, informed strategic decisions. His skills in developing knowledge sharing platforms can be evidenced in projects undertaken with NASA and SBA during his graduate work, where he trained employees to utilize these tools.
His work history includes Wachovia Bank, Business Seed Capital, Scott Squared Ventures, U.S. Small Business Administration, and Columbia University. Christopher received a bachelor’s degree from Virginia Tech, a master's degree Columbia University, and a Certificate in Financial Management from Cornell University. Christopher continues to obtain specialized training in venture capital, micro financing, and franchise development.
